Latest News and Announcements on the site
Website update
Changes we've been working on for the last few months are now live on the site. We've got refreshed logos, a team system for teams to develop, and lots of new sites for the events. There is lots more to come!
If you've got any feedback, please contact us.
You can keep track of all the latest developments and new features on the site by looking in the Webteam blog.
Visa guide online
Charity Rallies has now published the first interactive Visa Guide. Packed with information, tips and comments from site users, this visa guide will be updated by the teams themselves and will be the most up to date guide on the net. Many of the countries we pass through are infrequently visited and good information can be hard to find. The guide contains downloadable forms for visa forms that can not be obtained online. To get access to the guide, create an account on the Charity Rallies site to add content or just click on the link to the visa guide.

Charity Rallies Newsletter
We'll be back at the Wargrave Arms in London for another Charity Rallies pub meet this Saturday (17 November) from 2pm. Anyone can come along and you don't need to be signed up to any of the rallies to attend. The pub serves Mongolian food during the afternoon and into the evening. We'll be around from 2pm until they kick us out.
There will also be lots of people there who have travelled to Mongolia before to answer your questions and some of our Mongolian friends from the Mongolian Association.
Full details and a map to the pub on http://www.charityrallies.org/
New Events
We've got some exciting new events we're working on and we're talking to other charity rallies about joining forces. Keep watching the site as we add the events.
Pyramid Rally
We've pencilled in a start date for the Pyramid Rally of Saturday 15th March 2008 and we'll be opening entries for this in December. Make sure you are on the Pyramid Rally mailing list on the website to hear about this first.
Latest News from Mongolia
Will (one of the Go Help trustees) lived in Mongolia for a year between 2005 and 2006 and went back out there 10 days ago for a 3 week 'holiday'. However, we've given him a pretty packed schedule of meetings in UB to make sure everything is still all in order. A big thank you to Will for giving up so much of his time during his holiday. He's been catching up on the latest developments with Enkhbaatar and the excellent work of the Children's Development and Protection Fund. We're already seeing the results from the money raised from the sale of the cars that were driven over independently in summer 2007. There'll be more news on this on the website in the next few days, but you can already see some photos here: http://www.mongoliarally.com/en/CDPF
The charities in Mongolia are keen to see teams bringing better vehicles into the country. Unsurprisingly, the number of bangers now heading into Mongolia is starting to become a problem. We'll be putting up a wish list of vehicles that charities in Mongolia are especially looking for, so if you haven't already got something sorted it is worth hanging on. Also, taking a 4wd isn't the easy option: the more interesting routes in Mongolia are hard in anything you throw at them.
Website
We've started adding some new features to the website, but there is a lot more to come. You can already set your location on a world map and see where other ralliers come from. You can also use the chat room to chat to ralliers on the site.
Teams will soon be able to use the new team system. Let us know if you want to help with testing the new system before it goes live.
Help Us
Everyone at Go Help is a volunteer. If you think you can lend a hand with anything on the websites, organising an event, or putting on a rally, send us an email on info@charityrallies.org.
Thanks,
The Go Help Team
